Interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard, a London native, is having quite a year. He was named one of the top 25 interior designers in Elle Decor’s June issue, the home he designed for Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne was featured in Architectural Digest and his book “Live, Love & Decorate,” which has a foreword written by Elton John, is set to release in October.
Bullard tells the New York Times that he came to Hollywood nineteen years ago to act. Needless to say his acting career never panned out, but when supermodel Cheryl Tiegs hired him to design her home in Bel Air, “things snowballed”. He has since added Sir Elton John, Cher, Christina Aguilera, William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman, Patti LaBelle, Eva Mendes and Ellen Pompeo to his list of clients. That’s a pretty impressive list.
It was only natural for Bullard to share some of his innate sense of style with the rest of us through both his show on Bravo, Million Dollar Decorator, and his latest collection of fabrics through Schumacher.
“Martyn Lawrence Bullard’s fabric collection with Schumacher is inspired by his passion for exotic travel, luxurious materials as well as unexpected color and scale. The collection contains prints and wovens that are derived from antique textiles, motifs and patterns gathered during Martyn’s journeys.” From ikats to paisleys, Bullard’s luxurious fabric collection will transform your home into a stunning showcase.
