The New York International Gift Fair

The New York International Gift Fair is like my own playground with fabulous and fun new products and a chance to see the newest trends being set by our vendors – and seeing the new lines from new manufacturers.

Barbara Karpf with Rafael Velasquez

V Rugs & Home has the most stunning and chic line of all! Rafael Velazquez has their trademark shell and horn trim on the exquisite Belgian linen pillows. The company has expanded into gorgeous ribbed cotton pillows, ideal for a casual or sea side home- the undulation of these textured patterns is superb and creates a dynamic effect.  Watch for these on our site in the next few weeks.

Ryan Studio, known for timeless printed pillows including Trina Turk’s stunning outdoor fabrics and suzani prints are still featured in their line as well as some shimmery geometric velvets for winter.  The soft texture of these rich velvets are a must for those cold and cozy winter nights!

Cococozy Pillows

At the January show I saw the Cococozy line which has received accolades in the press. These brightly colored hand blocked pillows are available in linen plus a new cotton line. Also offered are new cotton throws with amazing motifs. Can’t wait till these are up on our site!

Julian Mejia has a charming collection of table top and pillows. I love the twisted appliqué on his pillow designs and the Liberty of London lacquered trays are a real show stopper. He has napkins and placemats that coordinate beautifully for a very together look.

Black and white, a true classic is a big trend this coming season. Harvey & Strait has one entire line of napkins, placemats, and accessories to support this look. Great for gift items this company packages cocktail napkins and dinner napkins very elegantly. Additionally they have a wide assortment of multicolored tabletop inspired by Matisse.
